Subleasing my full apartment out in East Williamsburg! Cute furnished 1.5 bed apt-flexible sublease-1/2 block to Morgan Ave / 14 mins to Union Square. Available July 1 (also earlier if needed). Situation...I moved to another apartment in the building. The apartment will be fully furnished with everything in the pics b/c I bought mostly new furniture for my new apt. I am flexible with sublease length/dates...my sister is moving from Australia and I'm holding the lease over until she arrives...date still TBD but apartment will definitely be available for the next 3-4 months. I'm also fine with shorter term, but nothing less than a month however. My main priority is just finding someone to take good care of my apartment! This is also a legit sublet - you don't have to hide from the landlord. Location is amazing...it's literally a 1/2 block from the Morgan ave stop on the L line and 14-mins to Union Square. The bedroom is huge...15 ft x 12 ft with lots of sunlight and decent size closet with upper suitcase storage. There's another room which can be used as a bedroom or an office (it's railroad style, but the large room does have it's own private entrance so you can potentially make it work in a roommate situation if need be - not super ideal but workable. There's also a built in desk with in the living room if you need to work from home. New washer and dryer in basement (btw, it's free!) About the neighborhood East Williamsburg is a gritty industrial neighborhood that's the best of both worlds. 14- mins to Union Square; walking distance to both Williamsburg and Bushwick (or one-stop over at Montrose or Jefferson for each). Otherwise all the bars / restaurants / galleries / street art/ EDM venues you need in the neighborhood…Otis, Eyeval, Sobre Masa, Falansai, Paloma’s, Mika, LoHi, Honey’s, Hell Phone, The Narrows, Syndicated, Roberta’s, Pine Box Rock Shop, El Santo, Mominette Bistro, Bunna Café, Tabare, Yia Yia’s Taverna. A bunch of great vintage stores. 2 blocks from Netflix studios.

3 beds2 baths

Hi all! I'm looking to rent my furnished 1500+ sf ft 3BR, 2BA (plus approx 900 sq ft patios) apartment from mid July – December or January, with the potential to extend longer (or rent shorter too). Suggested rent is $6800/month but open to flexibility for the right tenant. My space is an enormous, quiet, airy and artistic top floor loft in a building of cool young Brooklyn professionals, families and accomplished creatives, split across two levels with two huge private terraces that have a view of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The unit has high ceilings and plenty of light, and greenery outside every window. The whole apartment has a peaceful, welcoming, and creative energy. The huge downstairs area is configured as an open set up studio apartment with bed and living areas combined, kitchen, and an extra room that is currently a walk in closet but could also be a kids room (twin bed can be assembled). The upstairs – accessible by spiral staircase - has a spacious home office and second bedroom, both of which open on to the lower patio. One bathroom has a full tub and the other is shower only. Downstairs is easily accessible via wheelchair. There is also in unit laundry, dishwasher, an elevator, central AC / heat. Smart TV and high speed internet are available, and there’s a Keurig coffee machine available for your use. The apartment is very close to the Classon G as well as walking distance to the AC, and very easy to get into Manhattan (also accessible by a quick cab ride) as well as other areas in Brooklyn. Citibike is on the block and various buses are nearby. Clinton Hill and Bed Stuy have plenty of local restaurants, cafes and cute vintage shops, as does nearby Fort Greene. It’s a gorgeous, tree-lined area and delightful to walk around during the summer. Please note that the cardboard boxes and apparel in the "closet," musical equipment, cat-related items, and likely bike will all be gone for the duration of the sublet. I'll have the patio leaves removed and table fixed too, and the apartment will be in beautiful condition for your arrival!

Finding a short-term NYC apartment is broken. We're fixing it.

Broker fees on a two-month sublet make no sense. Craigslist is a mess. Facebook groups are full of scams. If you've tried to find a furnished, short-term apartment in New York City, you already know this.

SubletNY is a free weekly newsletter. Every Monday morning we send you the best available sublets in NYC — furnished, no broker fee. Whether you need a place for two weeks or six months, we'll find it for you.

Who it's for

  • People relocating to NYC for work on a short-term assignment
  • Students needing housing for a semester or summer internship
  • Travel nurses, consultants, and anyone between leases
  • Anyone who needs a NYC apartment for days, weeks, or a few months

“We built SubletNY after spending three weeks trying to find a furnished apartment for a friend moving here for a consulting project. The existing options were genuinely terrible. This is our attempt to fix that — one Monday newsletter at a time.”
