We're Kyle and Jef, the current tenants, offering our entire two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for the full seven-month remaining lease term. Location: East 53rd Street near Third Avenue in Midtown East. Close to the E/M at Lexington Avenue–53rd Street and the 6 train at 51st Street.
Rent is fixed at $5,107/month for the whole apartment. Refundable security deposit: $5,107, equal to one month's rent. No sublet administration fee. The apartment will be unfurnished. Electricity and internet are separate; gas is included, and heat and water are supplied under the lease.
The apartment has hardwood floors, an open living/dining area, a dishwasher, and closet storage. It is in a walk-up building with no elevator. There is no washer/dryer access. Photos show our current furniture and laundry appliances, which will be removed and are not included.
Condition disclosure: The apartment is offered as-is. There has been a mouse sighting; there may be some bathroom mold/mildew; and there are cosmetic wall/paint issues, including marked-up paint and small holes from previously hung items.
This is a sublease subject to management's application process and written approval. We remain the leaseholders during the sublease. No smoking or vaping; no pets under building policy, with legally required assistance-animal accommodations handled by management. A new lease after May 31, 2027 may be possible subject to management approval and offered terms, but is not guaranteed. Move-in arrangements must be coordinated with the building.
Tours: Weekdays after 5 p.m. by appointment. Weekend tours may be possible depending on availability. Video tours are available.
